Working with special air-drying clay and simple tools (provided), you will learn the proportions and techniques for sculpting an original Paleolithic Matrika in the authentic style of the famous so-called Stone Age “Venuses.” You will come away with a wonderful votive figurine for your own altar, and learn how to make more for friends and coveners. Confuse the Hades out of future archaeologists! (1 hr)

The Pagan Solidarity Alliance

Oberon & Rhiannon Zell

In Feb. 2025, Oberon put out a call to hundreds of Pagan leaders to come together to address the threat to religious liberty under the MAGAdminstration and Christian Nationalism. We formed the Pagan Solidarity Alliance, meeting weekly by Zoom ever since, with a Mission to defend religious freedom and diversity, and to provide support, resources, and protections for Pagans and other vulnerable groups. Our purpose is to build a strong, interconnected network that empowers individuals, strengthens local and regional groups, and amplifies our collective voice in the broader world.

So far, we Pagans and Witches seem to have been flying under the radar of the MAGA-imperium. But they know we’re here, so don’t expect that we will be ignored indefinitely. Eventually, when they’ve deported the immigrants and fully implemented the draconian Project 2025 agenda, they will come for us. And we need to be ready.

Workshop Witchcraft in Pop Culture: Fact, Folklore, and Fantasy

Movies and television have shaped how millions of people imagine witches—but how much of what we see on screen has any connection to real witchcraft?

In this class, Papa Gee will look at popular portrayals of witches in shows and films including Practical Magic, Charmed, The Craft, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, A Discovery of Witches, Mayfair Witches, The VVitch, Bewitched, Bell, Book and Candle, The Witches of Eastwick, and American Horror Story: Coven.

We’ll explore which rituals, tools, beliefs, and magical practices have genuine historical or modern roots, how they were altered for entertainment, and which supernatural powers were invented entirely for the screen. We’ll also examine an important distinction: some familiar witch imagery comes from actual magical practice, while other images came from folklore, witch trials, religious propaganda, and old accusations against supposed witches.
Come prepared to look at some familiar screen witches in a completely different way.
